We’ve had a great run up to our summer break this year, with two fantastic and very well attended talks. Michael Marshall spoke to us in May about how to counter so called ‘alternative’ medicine when it starts to appear in mainstream health practices. Then in June, Professor Alison Raby spoke to us about the challenges of ensuring the lighhouses around our coast remain safe in the face of increasingly stormy weather. We’ve also had two very enjoyable walks, one from Bodmin to Lostwithiel and the second (in very humid weather!) around Bere Ferrers. There have been other social events, such as a brunch, visits to exhibitions and trips to see films at the Plymouth Arts Cinema
