June’s talk was a very informative account of the foundations of the modern Trade Union movement, its achievements and current challenges.
Our speaker was Kevin Treweeks, a local trade union activist, who was clearly very knowledgeable on the subject. As usual, we had a lively discussion after the talk. £40 was collected on the night for the PTUC Solidarity Fund supporting striking workers in Plymouth.
