It's 30 years since Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Khomeini pronounced a death sentence on Salman Rushdie for 'insulting' Islam with his novel The Satanic Verses, so that seems a good excuse to read the book for our November Book Club. It’s quite a long read, so we’re giving you some advance notice (even though we’re sure some of you will still leave it to the last minute!)
