Modern Slavery

Date: Tuesday, 24 September 2019 19:30

Venue: The B-Bar, Barbican Theatre

Slavery never seems to leave us and remains a serious problem across the world.  In the UK it’s estimated that there were between 10,000 and 13,000 potential victims of modern slavery in 2013, and Plymouth is far from being immune from the issue.  Simon Hardwick from Devon and Cornwall Police is going to talk about the extent of the problem and the actions that are being taken to confront it.

Our events are free and open to all, although we do ask for a voluntary contribution to cover speaker's expenses.
