Drug policy reform in the UK - working towards a more progressive approach

Ester Kincova from the Transform Drug Policy Foundation was our speaker for April.  She talked to us about the current state of laws governing the use of drugs around the world and where we stand in the UK at the moment. She also talked about Transform's work, both working towards a more enlightened approach to drugs policy and supporting pragmatic steps that can be taken to protect drug users and save lives today. Events over Christmas and into the New Year

Sadly, our January talk had to be cancelled due to illness.  However our social events have continued since our last talk in November.  We had a lively Christmas Quiz, set by Jessica, several online coffee mornings and two Book Club meetings. Our Darwin Day Celebration on Friday 12th February, was a viewing of the ‘Mark Steel Lecture’ on Darwin’s life followed by a discussion. Online events will continue until we can meet in person.
