September talk - No More Faith Schools

After 18 months, we were back in the B-Bar in September for our first ‘physical’ event since February 2020.

It was good to see around 15 people there to hear Alastair Lichten, the National Secular Society's head of education, talk about the Society's 'No More Faith Schools' campaign, along with their other education focused campaigns. This is, of course, a subject where we were always going to be in agreement with what Alastair was saying, but it was still very interesting to hear the case laid out in detail. Alastair also covered the NSS’s other work in related areas and how people can get involved in the campaign. This is probably going to be a long fight, but none the less, worth the effort to counter the injustices in the current system.
