AGM 2015 and World Humanist Day Picnic

Our AGM for 2015 was held on the 27th June at Devonport Guildhall

It was well attended, with 13 members present.  We reviewed the many successes of the past year, and came up with a number of suggestions of how we could do even better in the coming twelve months.  The most significant change for us came in a change of Chair.  Ben has reached the end of the maximum three years our constitution allows any one person to lead the group.  We are very fortunate that Martin Lavelle, who will be well known to many local Humanists, agreed to stand as Chair in his place and was duly elected.

As is now traditional, we followed the AGM with a picnic in Mount Wise Park to mark World Humanist Day.  Like last year, the weather was perfect and luckily the rather noisy Armed Forces Day display by a Eurofighter Typhoon over the Hoe was finished by the time we started.
